Okapi : Software

The Okapi programmer is described in the other files. This file deals with the software involved. Not the software in an AVR processor but the software for the host computer interface, driving the Okapi.
The Control center is the software for pumping object code into the chip to be programmed, but also for single stepping the Okapi programmer. Single stepping is a powerful feature. It allows you to test the hardware or to see what happens when you change the ICSP controls.

Above you see a mockup of the Okapi control center. Made with TuxPaint. My intention is to make Okapicc in Tcl/Tk since it is cross platform. In order to give it a twist the critical routines will be produced in Modula-2 (with Mocka), but porters are free to make a version in C for the operating system of their choice.
Please feel free to beat me in finishing the software before I do.
